'Shop Pink' Campaign Launched By The Irish Cancer Society

Brands including Barry’s Tea, Esso and Centra are joining forces with the Irish Cancer Society to raise money and awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month this October.

With the help of their ‘Pink Partners’, the charity is encouraging Irish people to ‘shop pink', with everything from teabags to beauty products available. For example, Ballyfree Eggs will donate 5c for every special pink pack of free-range eggs sold.

Elsewhere, Centra will stock a limited edition Pink Reflective Vest to help consumers stay safe in style. Over 250 stores will also take part in Pink Walks, with all funds raised going directly to charity.

The funds raised will go towards the charity’s Action Breast Cancer programme, which provides breast cancer information and support services to thousands of women across Ireland each year. Centra and other retailers will also sell Irish Cancer Society merchandise, including pink ribbons, badges, pens and key chains.
