Spar has announced that it will be the official sponsor of TV3’s Toy Show for the second year in a row, following its debut last year, which saw audience figures peak at over 650,000.
The sponsorship has been unveiled as part of a wide Christmas marketing investment for 2015 of €700,00, which also sees the retailer bring back its ‘Spar Delivering Christmas’ television advert, as well as the Spar Twitter Tree in aid of the National Children’s Hospital Tallaght.
Spar has also announced that plans to continue its partnership with food blogger Donal Skehan, having agreed to a deal to sponsor new RTE programme ‘Cook Eat Burn’.
The programme aims to highlight the benefits of healthy eating and an active lifestyle, and will be co-hosted by cook and nutritionist Dr Brendan Egan.
Marketing & Communications Director of Spar, Suzanne Weldon, said, “We are delighted to have extended our partnership with TV3’s Toy Show which provides our brand with a far reaching platform for communicating with our customers in a fun and entertaining way and delivers cut-through in the very competitive Christmas period.”
She added that Spar is excited to be partnering with RTE on the Cook Eat Burn series, saying, “In addition to our countless healthy food offerings, Spar has a long established tradition of supporting sports events across Ireland so I’ve no doubt that this new series will resonate strongly with our customers.”
