Spar has partnered up with former athlete Eamonn Coghlan to give runners in the St. Patrick’s Festival Road Race and Family Fun Run an added bonus on the day. All participants in the 5km event, which takes place on Sunday the 16th March at St. Stephen’s Green, will receive a Spar goodie bag containing Bo the Bear all-natural jelly sweets.
Leo Crawford, Chairman of Spar Ireland, said: “Spar has a proud tradition of supporting athletics through our work with the Spar Great Ireland Run and Run With Ray, so we were delighted to get to join Eamonn and get behind the St Patrick’s Festival Road Race and Family Fun Run.
“As Irish owned and operated retailers we know how important events like this are to the whole community around St Patrick’s Day, and I’d like to wish everyone taking part all the best of luck from everyone at Spar.”
