Taste 4 Success Launches Upskilling Programme For Food Branding

Taste 4 Success Skillnet has announced the launch of a new programme that aims to enhance branding skills for food and drink producers.

‘BrandBite – Building Your Brand For Business Success’ is one of 70 Skillnet Ireland business networks, in collaboration with the Art of GRATE Food consultancy and Blas na hÉireann.

The programme will kick off with a free half-day workshop at the Bia Innovator Campus, in Co. Galway, on Wednesday 22 May.

There will be a panel of food industry experts covering a range of topics, from defining a brand’s point of difference to the importance of consumer research and market communications.

Annie Dunne, the founder of the Art of GRATE Food and formerly of Kerry Foods and Harrods, will be on the panel.

Joining Dunne will be the founder of Neworld, Pat Kinsley, consumer insight specialist Michelle Mead, and the chief executive of the Parents and Brands digital marketing consultancy, Sharon Noonan.

Richard Cullen, the investor and chief executive of Aberlour Investments, will discuss his experience of bringing the Jelly Bean Factory from a humble start-up to a global brand.

The half-day event presents an exclusive opportunity to check out the BrandBite programme.

The full initiative will run for 12 weeks and equip participants with a full brand toolkit, giving them confidence to go out and communicate their brand and product offering to buyers and consumers.

‘The Secret Ingredient’

Taste 4 Success Skillnet’s network manager, Bridie Corrigan Matthews, commented on the announcement, saying, “Taste 4 Success Skillnet is delighted to announce the launch of this cutting-edge programme, which will deliver essential branding upskilling to food and drink producers across the country.

“The Irish food-and-drink sector is world famous for its exceptionally high standards and quality products.

“The sector is also extremely competitive, and the importance of developing and positioning a business’s branding correctly cannot be underestimated.

“With effective branding, a food business can stand out from competitors, attract loyal customers, and ultimately enhance competitiveness.”

Dunne, the founder of the Art of GRATE Food, added, “Effective branding is the secret ingredient for food and drink businesses, serving as the cornerstone of their growth recipe.

“It not only distinguishes them in a crowded market, but also creates lasting connections with consumers, nourishing loyalty and fuelling expansion.
