Tesco Ireland Teams Up with LivingSocial

Tesco has chosen LivingSocial as its new Clubcard partner. LivingSocial has more than 500,000 subscribers in Ireland, amounting to over 12% of the Irish population, and livingsocial.ie received above 250,000 visits every week.

LivingSocial was launched onto the Irish market in 2010, and since then it has grown rapidly to become on of the most successful daily deal sites in the country. It has helped its partners sell more than one million vouchers, which has saved its customers over €23 million.

Tesco Ireland Clubcard customers will now be able to earn one point for every €2 they spend on experiences, products and services on LivingSocial. This follows the successful launch of their partnership in the UK, last April. Since then, 133,046 UK Clubcard holders have linked their accounts with LivingSocial, and 20% of all LivingSocial purchases in the UK are being made by Clubcard holders.

Steven Marritt, COO of LivingSocial UK & Ireland commented, “LivingSocial is committed to sourcing and providing exciting experiences across Ireland, and is delighted to be partnering with Tesco to help customers collect Clubcard points whilst having fun through LivingSocial experiences.

“As the premier loyalty scheme in Ireland, with a strong commitment to supporting local enterprise, Tesco Clubcard is an ideal partner.”

This partnership with LivingSocial demonstrates our commitment to enhancing our customer Clubcard offering by inviting our members to rediscover their local communities and the very best offers where they live.”
