Tesco Ireland has announced it will be stocking Romanesque and colourful cauliflowers, in shades of purple, orange and green, until November 8th.
The produce is grown in Rush, Co. Dublin and will be distributed by Gilfresh produce.
Grower Liam Fynes explained, “We’re currently harvesting the crop of rainbow cauliflowers, with orange and emerald green cauliflowers going into stores next week, followed by purple cauliflowers later this month.”
Sinead McDonogh, Tesco Ireland’s Fresh Buyer, commented: “It can be tricky sometimes to encourage kids to eat vegetables, so we’re hoping that this range tempts people to eat their greens... and purples.”
