DHL has won the Freight Forwarding Company of the Year and Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence awards at the 2014 Irish Transport & Logistics Awards held in the DoubleTree Hotel in Dublin.
Maurice Meade, DHL global forwarding managing director said the company was thrilled to receive the awards and explained, “I believe our ability to adapt to the changing market environment in which we operate is key to our success as we continually enhance our core products in air, ocean and road freight. Our customers also trust us to provide a whole host of value added services,”
The Irish Logistics and Transport Awards are organized by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) to encourage innovation and the maintenance of commitment to the transport and logistics sector.
Michael Lynham, marketing manager CILT, said that to be awarded the overall Logistics and Transport Excellence Award, “a company must stand over the competition in terms of effective operations and processes. This is the hardest award to win at the ILTA’s as there are many factors to be considered. DHL Global Forwarding ticked all the boxes this year.”
