Exports To Great Britain Increased by 3% in November 2018: CSO

Exports from Ireland to Great Britain accounted for 10% of total exports in November 2018.

According to the Good Exports & Imports report that was published today by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) the most significant categories were Chemicals and related products (€463 million) and Food and live animals (€393 million).

Exports to Great Britain increased by €42 million (+3%) to €1,332 million in November 2018, when compared with November 2017, the research indicated.

The main increase was reportedly in exports of Chemicals and related products.

Imports

Imports from Great Britain comprised 22% of total imports in November 2018.

The largest categories of goods, the report showed were Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (€397 million), Machinery and Transport equipment (€323 million) and Food and live animals (€279 million).

Imports from Great Britain for the period January to November 2018 were €16,619 million, an increase of €744 million (+5%) when compared with the first eleven months of 2017.
