LacPatrick: No Discussions Have Taken Place Between Any Companies

LacPatrick Chairman has announced that no discussions have taken place between LacPatrick and any other companies.

Chairman Andrew McConkey said that this fact is critical to note in light of Lakeland Diaries, Dale Farm and Aurivo publicly declaring interest in negotiating with the dairy group.

The chairman also announced thatLacPatrick has set up a project team for dealing with this issue. The team will be led by McConkey, with vice chairmen Keith Agnew and Robert Skelton, as well as Alan McCay from the board, and with support from Michael Collins and Patrick Donohoe. Diarmaid Kilduff is offering consultancy support on operational issues.

The project team will be tasked with gathering information and presenting it to the board for discussion. McConkey confirmed that no decision will be made without the full agreement of the shareholders.

McConkey said, ‘We cannot put an exact timeframe on how long this will take but we do not expect the process to be drawn-out.’
