Gala Retail Services Limited has appointed PCS (Premium Cash Solutions) to supply and install cash management solutions to its network of stores throughout Ireland.

PCS SafePay system combines intelligent algorithms and cutting-edge technology to offer a secure payment solution, the convenience retailer explained.

With SafePay, cash is never handled manually, and correct change is always given, therefore unexplained cash differences and the task of dealing with them are a thing of the past, it added.

PCS currently supplies many leading brands such as Circle K, Maxol, BWG and Musgraves, with cash management solutions.

Cashiers no longer need to have responsibility for cash at the till or back-office administration, eliminating cash shrinkage, discrepancies and reconciliations from the daily cash process.

“We have over 550 closed Cash Management Solutions installed throughout Ireland and a proven track record with helping retailers to reduce the time spent on daily cash management by delivering solutions that automate their cash processes and simplify operations to provide greater efficiency and control," commented Thomas Desmond, Head of Business Development ROI & NI at PCS.

'Looking For Ways To Innovate'

Speaking about the decision to partner with PCS SafePay systems, Gary Desmond, CEO of Gala Retail, added, “At Gala Retail, we are constantly looking for ways to innovate, not only our stores and offerings, but how we operate. We are pleased to announce that PCS will be working with the Gala Group to introduce its SafePay technology across our network of stores.

“The introduction of the SafePay system will increase security for retailers and team members in Gala stores across the country, as well as reducing administration requirements in relation to cash handling, freeing up our retailers to focus on the day-to-day running of their stores and delivering retail excellence for the communities in which they operate.”
