Solus Introduces Retail Experience Display Solution

Irish lighting company Solus have launched a pioneering Retail Experience display solution which increases customer engagement. The display solution enables consumers to trial a product before purchase. Customers press a button to ‘try me’ and see what the light bulbs look like when lit in various surroundings. Ganley’s of Athlone are the first outlet to feature the new Solus Retail Experience display units and a national rollout will follow over the next few months.

After over a year of research and design, Solus found that customers were often overwhelmed by the complexity of choice in the light bulb sector with lots of different considerations including wattage, fitting, product type, energy benefits and more. The experiential approach simplifies this confusion.

The new Solus Retail Experience displays predict and answer users’ questions with clear visuals and descriptions. Various shapes including the classic bulb, candle, reflectors, round and fluorescent each have their own wattage guide and fitting options. The interactive ‘try me’ stations is a first for the lighting sector. There are up to 8 bays in the Solus Retail Experience but the size of the display can be tailored to the space available.

Solus is an Irish owned company that has been established for over eighty years and now supports 63 jobs in Ireland. Solus are exporting into niche markets in the UK, Italy, Germany and Spain.
