Solv-X Launches New ‘Innovative And Highly Economical' Sanitiser Station
Solv-X has introduced an Irish made Sanitiser Station, via their sister company Safe Hand Sans, which they claim is ‘innovative and highly economical’. The company is launching with their free-standing solution, which is aimed at retail stores, but also has a pipeline of bespoke solutions for a wide spectrum of public places.
The team at Safe Hand Sans wanted to offer a machine that was easy to use, easy to maintain and cost effective.
With those three key criteria in mind, the free-standing solution is touch-free, allowing users to sanitise speedily, has a 6.5 litre capacity, meaning there is 6.5 times less maintenance required than there is for typical one-litre dispensers, and dosage control reduces gel spend by approximately 50% and minimises gel spill from unregulated units.

'No Installation Required'

The launch units shown here operate on rechargeable batteries with no installation required, and come in either stainless steel or with a corporate wrap. Solv-X says that retailers recognise that, as well as meeting health and safety compliance obligations, hygiene is critical to their business, so it makes good business sense to offer staff and customers professional hand sanitisation solutions that build confidence and trust.

'Low Capacity'

Having spoken to retailers about the challenges of maintaining low capacity, often manually operated, solutions, Solv-X says they are ‘delighted’ to be operating a unit that ‘looks good and minimises cost’.
McCarthy’s Spar Dame St Dublin Manageress Majella Caffolla explained: “The Safe Hands Machine is superb, it builds customers confidence with fast touch-free dispensing, and we have more than halved our gel usage with the dosage control. Our staff time is saved significantly also by reduced cleaning and refilling compared to the one-litre unit we had previously.”
Solv-X says that a store with 1,000 visitors per day can expect to save over €2,000 in gel costs over the course of a year, ‘meaning the unit effectively pays for itself in 1.5 months.’ With hand hygiene more critical than ever, Solv-X maintains that these units are a welcome sight on any shop floor.
