Tesco Calls For Customers To Free Up Home Delivery Slots For Elderly

Tesco Ireland's chief operations officer, Geoff Byrne said that there is a huge demand for its home shopping service, and has called on customers who are capable of travelling to it stores to free up delivery slots for elderly customers.

Speaking on Newstalk Breakfast Byrne, said the service is currently maxed out due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“There are a lot of able-bodied, healthy people who probably could get to a shop - we’d really like to free up slots where we can for over-65s,” he said.
