Global Sustainability Conference In Dublin

The Global Sustainability Conference will take place in the Convention Centre in Dublin on Thursday 26th September. The Taoiseach Enda Kenny will open the event and key speakers include representatives from Bord Bia,Tesco, Nestle, Mars Inc, Kerry group and PepsiCo.

Over 700 people are registered to attend, including 300 international food buyers and 40 media representatives from abroad. Bord Bia CEO Aidan Cotter will address the attendees with a talk on Origin Green, Ireland's answer to sustainability, while Lloyd Burdett, head of Global Client & Strategy of The Futures Company will speak on 'The Evolution of the Consumer Perspective.'

In advance of the conference, over 180 delegates will visit farms, factories and Irish food and drink companies around the country, including the Ploughing Championship on Wednesday. Closing remarks will be presented by Minister for Agriculture, Food & the Marine, Simon Coveney, T.D.
