Johnston, Mooney & O’Brien Present Cheque To Temple St Hospital

Johnston, Mooney and O'Brien has raised €17,500 for Temple Street Children's University Hospital to help them redevelop St. Joseph's Ward.

The funds were raised through downloads of 'When the world was yours and mine', the soundtrack to the Johnston, Mooney and O'Brien TV advert that celebrated the company's 175 year history.

The song was made available on iTunes due to a huge public interest and the bread makers decided proceeds would go to the children’s hospital. Songwriters Kevin Breathnach and Billy Larkin and the singer Mark Kilbride waived their royalties to assist with the fundraising potential.

Denise Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the hospital said, "We would like to sincerely thank Johnston Mooney & O’Brien, as well as the singer and songwriters. This donation will go a long way towards redeveloping St. Josephs Ward." This will be the first refurbishment of St. Josephs Ward in over 60 years.
