Keith Murray has been appointed managing director of Leo Burnett and is expected to take over from Shane McGonigle at the end of the year. Previously head of client service and planning at Language, Keith has over 20 years experience in agencies working with commercial and public service brands.Leo Burnett is an agency with an ethos and heritage that chimes perfectly with our times. This ethos has been core to the agency's re-imagining as it recently positioned itself internationally as a "humankind communications company" – a company that puts human brand purpose, and not positioning, at the heart of brand strategy.
It's a direction that Keith is keen to follow: "I think Leo Burnett has developed a renewed sense of itself and what it can offer clients: creative ideas that activate human brand purpose to captivate ordinary people and transform their behavior. I'm looking forward to activating that offer here in Ireland to create a world-class outpost of a worldwide agency."
Keith's appointment will greatly assist Leo Burnett in its aim to be one of the top five advertising agencies in Ireland.
