Details of the awards ceremony for this year’s Blas na hEireann, National Irish Food Awards have been revealed. The Dingle Peninsula Food Festival (October 4-7) will host the final judging of the awards on the Friday 5th October, with the winners announced the following day at a ceremony at Benner’s Hotel, Dingle. The organisers noted that due to an increase in the numbers of entries the competition there will now be over 40 food product categories judged, with beer and cider included for the first time.
