Skittles The Top Brand For Oxegen Festival Goers

With the summer festival season in full swing, digital marketing firm Eighttwenty/4D has revealed the brands that fans of Electric Picnic and Oxegen like most - indicating a clear, definable age gap between the two sets of fans.

Among the favourites of Oxegen goers, according to an aggregator of Facebook 'likes', are Skittles (43%), Bacardi (37%) and Tayto (35%). Clothing brands Forever 21 (38%) and River Island (37%) also score highly among Oxegen goers.

Electric Picnic goers on the other hand prefer Guinness (16%), Starbucks (15%), Smirnoff (15%) and Captain Morgan (14%), as well as Bacardi (24%); the only brand to make both lists.

Electric Picnic has 118,000 Facebook likes, 67% of whom are Irish, while Oxegen boasts 247,000 Facebook likes, 63% of which are Irish.

Oxegen takes place this weekend at Punchestown Racecourse, with Electric Picnic taking place from August 30th to September 1st in Stradbally, Co. Laois.
