Applegreen And Everest Snacks Announce New Partnership

Applegreen and Everest Snacks have recently announced a new partnership.

"The Applegreen partnership, strategically broadens our consumer reach and product accessibility across retail in Ireland," said Seamus Tighe, Founder and MD, Everest Snacks.

Tighe said that he anticipates a forecasted turnover of over half a million, accumulated from all Applegreen retail nationwide, and that he hopes to increase this year on year through enhanced marketing activity and new product innovation.

In a statement the healthy snack producer said that he company’s turnover has increased significantly from €100,000 in 2014 to €2million in 2019.

Food On-the-go

Everest snacks are now available across the forecourt retailers outlets nationwide.

“This partnership with Everest Snacks will help us to build on our retail strategy, bringing healthy, on-the-go food options to more people across Ireland," added Aaron Duggan, Head of Service Area Retail & Food Operations at Applegreen.

"Health and wellness are both top of consumers’ agenda and it plays an important role in the retail experience presented to customers by Applegreen, where both variety and quality are central to the convenient snacks we deliver.”

Product Portfolio

Everest Snacks’ product portfolio includes, Porridge Quickies, which contain a serving of crunchy toppings that can be mixed into the porridge, to create a more satisfying breakfast snack.

There are currently two flavours available, porridge with chia seeds, almonds and dark chocolate pieces, and porridge with coconut strawberry, cranberry and blueberry.

The more established Everest Yoghurt Granola Cups consist of several different types of seeds and grains, and come in three variations; strawberry protein, raspberry and cocoa.

New Addition

The brand added its new protein snack bars to its portfolio in March this year.

Speaking with Checkout, Tighe explained: “When you go into the shops to the grab-and-go section, a lot of the time you don’t really know what's Irish, what’s healthy, what’s good for you, so we just wanted to create products that were natural, ready-to-go, convenient, and tasty.

"The reason we went into it is because we really have a genuine interest in it.” he added.

The plant-based protein snack bars are currently available in three flavours, Belgian chocolate and caramel, white chocolate and strawberry, and dark chocolate and hazelnut.
