Ballymaloe Foods Announces New Product & FoodCloud Partnership

Ballymaloe Foods has revealed its new ‘Mayolish’ product at Bord Bia Bloom, just in time for summer dining.

Mayolish combines two popular products from the family-run food company: Ballymaloe Relish and Ballymaloe Mayonnaise.

In the spirit of bringing things together, Ballymaloe Foods has also announced a key charity partnership with FoodCloud.

The aim of the partnership is to help consumers consider habits that they can change to help tackle food waste.

The partnership will also support the endeavours of the social enterprise.

Mayolish And FoodCloud

Ballymaloe Foods uses only the finest ingredients, produced in small batches in Cork.

Mayolish combines the fresh ingredients and family recipes for the famous relish and mayonnaise to create a smooth, creamy, tangy sauce.

The new product is versatile, perfect to accompany a ‘fakeaway,’ barbecue, sandwiches, crispy fish or salads.

Mayolish is now available nationwide in a squeezy bottle made from 100% recycled plastic, reflecting Ballymaloe’s commitment to sustainability.

Along with the new product, the company’s partnership with FoodCloud will see Ballymaloe reduce food waste and support those in need.

The social enterprise of FoodCloud aims to tackle the issues of food waste and food security simultaneously.

So far in 2024, Ballymaloe Foods has helped FoodCloud distribute 18 tonnes of food surplus.

This equates to 42,920 meals and saving 57.7 tonnes of CO2.

‘Quality Approach’

Speaking about Mayolish, the general manager of Ballymaloe Foods Maxine Hyde said, “For over 30 years, Ballymaloe Foods has been a family run business based in Cork.

“Over the years we have tried and tested new recipes to now produce a range of over 20 products.

“We pride our success to date on the quality approach we take to our business, suing the best ingredients, being environmentally-conscious, and continuing to offer our loyal customers products that are pantry staples which can elevate everyday meals.

“Mayolish feels like a natural evolution to the product range as we have been mixing Ballymaloe Relish with Mayo at home for years!”

On the new partnership with FoodCloud, Hyde added, “We are excited to also announce our partnership with FoodCloud and continue to support the work of this vital social enterprise, while also progressing our own sustainability commitments.”
