Ireland's Top 5 Coffee Brands Are Brewing Up A Storm

Instant/Ground Coffee is the 19th biggest category in grocery in Ireland, according to the top 100 categories, in Checkout's Top 100 Brands 2022, in association with NielsenIQ.

Despite the fact that starting the day with a cup of coffee has become more expensive, due to supply chain prices hikes and inflationary cost, Ireland's love affair with the morning staple still remains strong.

It is interesting to note that Instant/Ground Coffee retains its number-19 ranking from 2021 and still ranks higher than Ireland's second favourite hot beverage – tea – which came in at number 30 in the most recent edition of the Top 100.

Nescafé is still the biggest brand, and Kenco is still in the number-two spot.

Published every August, the Checkout Top 100 Brands is based on branded value sales across the Irish grocery sector, making it the most accurate barometer of the biggest-selling brands in the marketplace.

In compiling the report, NielsenIQ measures the sales performance of over 5,000 brands from over 200 product classes.
