Irish Pride Assets To Be Sold To Pat The Baker

RTÉ is quoting receivers at KMPG as saying that a deal to sell the majority of Irish Pride Bakeries’ assets to Pat The Baker has been agreed.

The deal will secure 250 jobs at the company. However, the Irish Pride plant at Ballinrobe in Mayo is not included in the sale, meaning a a redundancy consultation process will be initiated shortly for the 90 employees at the plant.

The joint receivers, who were appointed to Irish Pride in June, are assuring customers that the closure of the plant will not have an effect on the production and supply of products, the news channel said.
