Pat The Baker Bid For Irish Pride Enters Competition Process

The proposed acquisition of Irish Pride by Pat The Baker has entered the competition approval process, with the deal notified to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

The deal has entered the Preliminary Investigation (Phase 1) process, with a deadline of 28 August given for any third parties that wish to make submissions on the proposed deal.

News of Pat The Baker’s bid for the assets of Irish Pride, which is currently in receivership, were revealed on 7 August.

Last week, it was announced that businesses affected by the Irish Pride receivership, including rival brea brand McCambridge Ltd, was in line for an insurance payout from trade credit insurer Atradius.
