Cork brewery Franciscan Well and Jameson Irish Whiskey have announced the launch of their latest collaborative ventre, Franciscan Well Jameson-Aged Pale Ale.
The ale is the first to utilise the effect of Jameson barrels on pale ale. The brewery have said that the pale ale is intended to be followed by a Jameson Irish Whiskey ‘back’.
Shane Long, Founder of the Franciscan Well Brewery said: “After the success we saw with our Jameson-Aged Stout, all of us here at Franciscan Well felt excited about trying something new with the guys at Jameson again.
"This time, our challenge was create a pale ale with enough flavour to make a good match for food but that would not overpower the whiskey. We’re really pleased with the result."
