Did you know…? After tequila, gin and bourbon, rum will be the next liquor to go upscale, according to Bacardi. The rum maker is now introducing two new premium rum products and relaunching an existing brand to push the category in a more premium direction.

Did you know…? Nestlé is betting on the low-sugar trend with its planned new slimmed-down Milkybar Wowsomes chocolates, promising the same sweetness but with 30% less sugar. Did you know…? Egg prices are surging in the US, just in time for Easter. The wholesale cost of a dozen eggs in the Midwest has more than doubled in the five weeks through March 23 to $2.71, marking the highest prices since August 2015, US Department of Agriculture data show.

Did you know…? Two weeks after Lidl Ireland, the German discounter’s Belgian business announced its plans to reduce plastic usage by at least 20% and make all of its private-label packaging recyclable by 2025.
