Lidl Ireland MD Aims For 200th ROI Store Opening
The German retail chain is reportedly aiming to open as many as 200 stores in the Republic of Ireland, Lidl Ireland managing director John Paul Scally, has said.
Speaking with the Irish Independent Scally said, "We're not going to going to stop until we have a Lidl store in close proximity to everyone in the country," said Scally.
"It will bring us to about 200 stores in total in the Republic of Ireland and a little bit under 50 in Northern Ireland," he added.
Scally said that the company will have 152 outlets in the Republic of Ireland as of today, when it opens its third store this year in north Co.Dublin, which brings its total to 190.
Lidl Ireland is reportedly planning to open two more stores this year, both in Cork, at Wilton and Bantry.
