Smurfit Kappa's UK and Irish operations have won a number of awards at the recently held 2016 European Flexographic Industry Association Awards (EFIA).
Overall, Smurfit Kappa won 13 awards, more than any other entrant, with its UK and Irish arms taking home four Golds for their work with brands Jack Daniels, Huggies, Le Rouge and Standard Brands, as well as a number of Silver and Bronze awards.
Two awards were won by Smurfit Kappa inspirepac for the Huggies Baby Wipes Frozen Pack, which was created using the recently installed Bobst 924 Printer Folder Gluer machine.
Smurfit Kappa Chelmsford was awarded a Gold for its creation for Jack Daniels, which judges praised for its crisp and clean finish, while Smurfit Kappa CRP won Gold for its creation for Le Rouge.
Smurfit Kappa’s fourth Gold went to its Lurgan operation for the Standard Brands product.
