Did you know?... Maxima Latvija has announced that it has introduced document scanners for contactless age verification in a bid to improve customer experience and streamline store operations. The retailer is conducting a trial of the scanners at the Maxima XX store in 73 Mūkusalas Street, Riga, for age-restricted goods. The scanners, equipped with barcode readers, can scan documents remotely and allow cashiers to access information about the customer’s age.
