Did you know?...  Soft drink bottler Refresco has announced that it is to acquire three juice manufacturing facilities from Britvic, in France. The transaction will include juice manufacturing units in La-Roche-sur-Foron, Château-Thébaud and Nissan-lez-Enserune, related retailer brands business, and the Fruité brand.

Did You know?...  The Swiss government has woken up and smelled the coffee, delaying a final decision on its plan to scrap the nation's strategic bean reserve after the proposal prompted public and industry jitters, reports Reuters. The government steamed up coffee lovers in April when it said it would no longer stockpile coffee, which it has done for decades along with sugar, edible oils and animal feed, after concluding the low-calorie beverage was not vital for life and so did not need to be stashed in case of crisis.

Did you know?... While competitors partially retracted from the British market following the Brexit vote in 2016, German company Ferdinand Bilstein invested in a new facility in the geographical centre of England. In association with Ulrich Schlosser from WITRON, Paul Dodgson, operations director at Ferdinand Bilstein UK and Felix Wortmann, project manager logistics planning at Ferdinand Bilstein Germany planned the logistics centre in Markham Vale.

Did You know?...  Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jacks has been taken off the market by its owners. The popular late night venue hit the market alongside the Jackson Court Hotel in March of this year. However, owners Cathal and Paula Jackson have now decided not to sell the venue. According to The Irish Times, in a memo to staff, the Jacksons stated, "As you know, Cathal had some health issues late last year and reluctantly made the decision to put Coppers on the market.

Did You know?... Walmart has announced that Apple users can now access its voice order service through Siri. In April of this year, the retailer launched the Walmart Voice Order facility in collaboration with Google.
