Did You Know…? Irish Farmers and Dairygold are wrapping their hay bales in pink to support the Irish Cancer Society. Over the last three years the campaign has raised almost €50,000, and once again Dairygold is becoming the “Pink Panthers” in this year’s Wrap It Pink campaign.

Did You Know…?  A former Irish soldier, Paul Hayles, who served as a UN peacekeeper, has set up his own food business in Bulgaria selling Irish produce? The 44-year-old Tallaght man set up his business to fill a “glaring gap” in the market for good-quality Irish beef and lamb products.

Did you know…? American ketchup maker Kraft Heinz released meat-scented candles in the US for Fathers Day. The new candle was made by A1 sauce and sold for $14.99 per candle, available in three variants, Original Meat, Backyard BBQ and Classic Burger.

Did You Know…? Smurfit Kappa has produced its 4th billionth Vitop wine tap. Vitop tap, which is part of the Bag-in-Box system has a leak rate of one in five million, comes with a strong tamper-proof design as well as a high oxygen barrier which provides extended shelf life and product freshness.

Did You Know…? Sainsbury’s has combined with food and drink giant Unilever to launch five in-store ice-cream parlours across the UK. The trial is the first time in-store ice-cream parlours have opened in UK supermarkets.
