Did You Know ... Mondelez is paying €8.2m a year into an employee pension fund to plug a €116m hole in the scheme? According to the Sunday Times, the gap is due to the "market's impact on defined benefit pensions.

Did You Know ... The Dublin Liberties Whiskey Distiller has launched a new whiskey called Copper Alley in six markets. Copper Alley will be available in Ireland, Britain, the Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland and Belgium. The distiller is owned by Quintessential Brands, which also manages the Dubliner and Dublin Liberties whiskey brands.

Did You Know ... Nespresso's customer magazine, N magazine, is launching its 27th edition focussing on Dublin City?  The magazine publishes on topics as varied as lifestyle, gastronomy, interior design and travel, all related to the world of coffee.

Did You Know ... Kavanagh's Supervalu in Donegal Town held its annual cake sale and coffee morning in aid of Solace Centre, raising €1,170 euro for the charity? Supervalu manager Garreth Ferry said: "We would like to thank all our customers and staff for all the baking done in preparation for our cake sale, this has worked very well for us in recent years. The reason we have raised so much is because of the support of the local community."

Did You Know ... Lidl in Italy is launching a new range of free-from and organic products? The range will include more than 60 products including frozen, fresh and dried products, as well as wine and drinks.

Did You Know ... A proposed service station in Tuam, Galway has seen a renewed bid for development? The county council refused planning permission on the basis of public safety, but developer Chris Brogan is appealing the decision, hoping to build a 6-pump forecourt with canopy and a Heavy Goods Vehicle forecourt on the site.
