Aldi Ireland Highlights Affordable Vegetables, To Eat Healthily This Winter

Aldi Ireland is highlighting its affordable vegetable offering to customers who are trying to eat healthily in the new year.

The discount retailer aims to help customers to achieve their goals without compromising on their budget.

The Irish government recommends up to seven servings of fruits, vegetables or salad each day, as part of a healthy lifestyle.

With the increased cost of living and budget anxiety, Aldi’s affordable products are intended to help meet those goals without added financial pressure.

What’s On Offer

Eating well does not have to mean eating paltry meals.

Egan’s Irish Baby Mushrooms can add a hearty, healthy element to a winter meal for the cost of 85c for a 150g packet.

To add some healthy fat to your diet, Nature’s Pick Hass Avocado Ready To Eat comes in at 99c, and for a summery kick, Nature’s Pick Mixed Pepper 3-Pack is a safe choice, at €1.89.

Freezing vegetables at the height of their ripeness preserves the nutrients in the food, so there is no need to eat everything at once – you can store and save without compromising your healthy-eating goals.

Nature’s Pick Cauliflower is in season this January, and, at €1.69, it will add key Vitamin C to your meals.

For a classic stew, Egan’s Irish Maris Piper Potatoes (4kg) with added Four Seasons Kale (750g) – for extra Vitamins A, C and K – won’t break the bank, at €5.79 and €1.19, respectively.

Minimal Preparation

Winter is also a time of fatigue, especially in Ireland, where few people get enough Vitamin D between October and March.

While healthy eating is key to helping this, it can also be difficult to feel motivated to cook in the dark evenings.

Aldi’s Four Season’s Vegetable Stir Fry Mix and Frozen Cauliflower Rice, both €1.39, offer an easy way to incorporate more nutrients into your diet without too much preparation.

As well as these products, Aldi also has healthy recipes available on its website, for anyone looking for inspiration after stocking up.
