Aldi Ireland and Irish company NutriQuick have signed a deal worth over €10 million, to supply healthy ready meals and protein pots to the retailer.

The Wicklow-based supplier has worked with Aldi since 2019, and the new deal will extend the partnership for three more years.

NutriQuick supplies all 161 of Aldi’s Irish stores with healthy, nutritious ready meals that have proven popular with shoppers who maintain busy and active lifestyles.

The company is one of more than 330 Irish suppliers with which Aldi works.

The retailer is committed to supporting Irish businesses, spending €1.1 billion with Irish suppliers in 2023.

With an emphasis on high-quality nutrition, NutriQuick is committed to using 100% Irish ingredients in all its products, in line with Aldi’s mission to support Irish producers.

‘Extremely Proud’

Speaking about the extended partnership, the founder and managing director of NutriQuick, Dean Siney, said, “We’re delighted to have secured this new contract with Aldi.

“It means even more customers will get the opportunity to enjoy NutriQuick’s healthy, Irish, nutritious meals.

“Aldi’s support also means we can expand our facility in Blessington and create new jobs.”

Siney added, “NutriQuick’s meal options have proven especially popular with those involved in playing sport or keeping fit.

“Some of our Gaelic football ambassadors are among the many fans of NutriQuick’s range of meals and protein pots, which help fuel them for their busy, active lifestyles.”

Billy Carr, buying director of Aldi Ireland, also welcomed news of the deal, saying, “We see NutriQuick as being very much part of the Aldi family in Ireland, and we’re delighted today to announce a new deal worth more than €10 million.

“We’re delighted that our support will allow NutriQuick to expand their business, create new jobs, and, in particular, to introduce and expediate sustainability measures in their production process.”

Carr concluded, “We’re extremely proud to work with Irish suppliers like NutriQuick and to support their businesses, so that our customers can continue to enjoy wonderful Irish food-and-drink produce at unbeatable Aldi prices.”
