Aldi Named 'Best' Supermarket For Customer Experience

A report by Customer Experience Insights (CEXi.org) has claimed that Aldi provides the 'best' customer experience (CX) out of all supermarket groups in Ireland.

The leading CX brand in the country was awarded to Credit Union with Aldi finishing in fourth place in the overall rankings.

Other supermarkets to feature on the list include Marks & Spencer, which ranked just outside the top 10, finishing in 12th place. Dealz finished 22nd, SuperValu joint 27th, Lidl 29th, Tesco 59th and Dunnes Stores 70th.

When it comes to convenience stores and forecourt retailers, Centra was the highest placed on the list, coming in at 64th. Topaz was ranked in 71st, closely followed by Applegreen and Londis who are joint 73rd. Maxol and Esso were the only other two convenience/forecourt stores in the top 100, finishing in 86th and 89th respectively.

CEXi was set up to promote Customer Experience Excellence within companies operating in Ireland. It partnered with KPMG Nunwood to carry out the survey in June of this year resulting in over 37,000 customer experiences across 151 brands.
