BWG Foodservice has launched its Christmas brochure, A Taste of Christmas.

The retailer noted that the publication is packed with products that have won accolades from the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards (IQFA).

From its plant-based Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream – the IQFA Foodservice Product of the Year – to the exclusive range of highest-quality meats from William’s Gate, BWG Foodservice is available to service every menu request and designed to provide value-added solutions to every customer.

Central to the BWG Foodservice offering is a ‘strong commitment to supporting local Irish suppliers, as well as ensuring the provenance of products across the Christmas range, including a large selection of options from Irish artisan suppliers like Wexford’s Coolhull Farm and Galway’s Foods of Athenry.’

‘Successful Year’

BWG Foodservice noted that 2023 has been a ‘phenomenally successful year’ for the group.

As well as being honoured with a number IQFA accolades – five products were presented with awards – the team was also named National Foodservice Supplier of the Year by the Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance and Irish Franchise Supplier of the Year by the Irish Franchise Association, and the dedicated team is excited to help with all requests and queries, it added.

BWG Foodservice highlighted that this year’s edition of A Taste of Christmas brings together an extensive range of menu solutions for every commercial kitchen, restaurant and foodservice establishment, including its dedicated master butchery offering, William’s Gate.

Bord Bia’s Origin Green Programme

As a member of Bord Bia’s Origin Green programme, BWG Foodservice noted that it is very conscious of its responsibilities when it comes to maintaining awareness of sustainability, and this year’s Christmas brochure – as well as being available online – has been printed on FSC paper, which is bio-laminated, meaning that when the publication reaches the end of its useful life, it composts.

Similarly, as part of BWG Foods, BWG Foodservice is ‘very proud of the focus by the wider business on championing environmental impact across all our operations’.
