Did you know ...? Aldi has announced that it is offering customers the chance to win a selection of prizes, including a year’s worth of free shopping in store. To be in with a chance of winning a prize, customers need to head to their nearest Aldi and pick up a tub of delicious Irish produced Holly Lane Christmas Mini Bites €3.29, available in Chocolate Orange Rocky Road, Chocolate Popcorn Rocks and Snowy Road. A select number of tubs will contain a lucky sticker on the inside of the lid. If a shopper finds one, Aldi noted that they simply have to scan the QR code and enter the unique code to find out what prize they have won.
Did you know ...? Seventy-five percent of Gen Z shoppers say they are the ‘decision makers’ on what personal care products their household should purchase, according to a new study from NIQ. The study titled Gen Z No filter! also revealed that four in five Gen Z consumers still live in a family unit at home, reports ESMmgazine.com. The survey polled consumers aged 18-25 in seven European countries: Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania. It included 1,000 consumers in each of the surveyed countries.

SPAR Austria has announced that it has banned aspartame from its private-label dairy brands, and is nearing the total phase-out of the artificial sweetener from its entire store brand range, reports ESMmagazine.com. Currently, 99% of SPAR Austria's private-label brands are already aspartame-free, with the milk and dairy portfolio going 100% aspartame-free as of this autumn. In a study carried out in September 2023, some 80% of Austrian consumers said that they were 'concerned' by the WHO's recent classification of aspartame as 'possibly carcinogenic.
