Did you know...? German retailer Kaufland has collaborated with TikTok Influencer 'Herr Anwalt' (Mr. Lawyer) for its latest recruitment campaign. Tim Hendrik Walter, alias 'Herr Anwalt', illustrates what is behind the apprenticeships for warehouse logistics, fresh produce salesperson, and retail salesperson at Kaufland, in a humorous way. 'Herr Anwalt' is one of the biggest TikTok accounts in Germany, with 4.4 million followers.

Did you know...? Long-term sponsor of Special Olympics Ireland, Gala Retail has launched this year’s Polar Plunge. The retailer said that it will assist in the promotion of the event and funding branded merchandise for registered participants to help make this year’s event bigger and better than ever. Gala Retail said that it joined international soccer player and Special Olympics ambassador, Stephanie Roche, to help launch the Polar Plunge supported, which will take place at Sandycove Pier on the 4 December at 11am. The event will take place virtually from 10 to 12 December, allowing participants to take on the challenge at their own local pool, beach or lake, the retailer added.

Did you know...? Netto Marken-Discount and its parent group Edeka are set to improve animal welfare standards across its own-brand meat range. The two retailers are converting frozen own-brand poultry products to housing type 2 or higher. This means the animals have at least 10% more space in the barn than required by law and that they have additional equipment available to them, as well as other facilities.

Did you know...? Aldi Ireland has announced well-known TV chef and founder of Ballyknocken House & Cookery School Catherine Fulvio, as its chef ambassador for the Christmas season. The award-winning celebrity chef will be bringing Aldi customers a range of easy recipes as well as her industry knowledge, the discounter said. Speaking about the partnership, Fulvio said, "Working with key, Irish ingredients and the amazing suppliers that we have in Ireland has always been a huge priority for me, so it just made sense working with Aldi and all of the amazing, Irish quality ingredients that they stock on their shelves."
