Dunnes Stores is reportedly set to double its store count in the UK, with the opening of as many as 40 new sites.
According to Retail Week, the Irish retailer is eyeing store locations being sold by chains such as Marks & Spencer and BHS.
It is not yet known whether the new sites will offer a food offering alongside textiles and clothing - Dunnes does not currently have a food offering in its UK locations.
Dunnes currently operates 34 sites in the UK, including 23 in Northern Ireland, six in England and five in Scotland.
