Marks & Spencer Secures Deal With Irish-Owned Milish Bakery

Family-owned Dublin-based Milish bakery has secured a deal with Marks & Spencer to supply its signature muffins to stores across the UK and Ireland, it was announced today.

The multi-million euro contract will see the muffins distributed to 60 M&S stores.

The deal represents a significant boost for the bakery, which has increased its workforce by 20% to meet demand.

Positions filled range from logistics, quality control and production. These will further bolster the Citywest-based workforce and contribute to local employment.

Milish will make the muffins for M&S using only fresh, free-range M&S eggs and buttermilk.

The range of muffins will include lemon, blueberry, Victoria sponge and chocolate-flavoured muffins.

Milish Bakery

Milish Bakery was established in 1959 by siblings Kitty Coghlan and Liam Coghlan Snr. It specialises in innovation and the manufacturing of scones and muffins.

Generations of experience has helped the bakery grow from its origins to one of the leaders in Irish bakery manufacturing.

The technical director at Milish Bakery Gary McCarney welcomed the news of the partnership, saying, “As producers, we do everything we can to ensure that all of the muffins we make are the best they can possibly be.

“Given our core focus as a producer on quality, we’re delighted to have that recognition by M&S and partner with them in bringing our product to customers both across Ireland and the UK.
