M&S Launches ‘Farm to Foodhall’ Campaign Fronted By Mark Moriarty

M&S has today (21 June) launched its inaugural ‘Farm to Foodhall’ campaign, fronted by chef ambassador Mark Moriarty.

The new multimedia campaign will showcase Moriarty meeting with the M&S Select farmers behind the retailer’s fresh Irish berries and ‘100% traceable’ Irish beef.

Commenting on the campaign, Moriarty said, “This initiative not only supports Irish suppliers, but also enables customers to experience the exceptional flavours of locally sourced produce.

“By prioritising sustainability and responsible sourcing, we can make a positive impact on our communities and the environment.”

During the first part of the campaign, viewers will be shown where the Irish berries are sourced, picked and analysed by Moriarty, to ascertain ‘whether or not the produce is M&S ready’.

The retailer noted that M&S Select farms encourage a natural ecosystem in their greenhouses and use bees to pollinate the fruit, for extra freshness and great taste.

Irish Beef

In the second phase of the campaign, during a visit to the M&S Select beef farm, viewers will experience why M&S is ‘passionate about sourcing quality Irish beef that assures complete traceability, working to the highest animal welfare standards and sustainability.’

M&S highlighted that this campaign further showcases its commitment to using Irish suppliers, expanding upon its existing range of products sourced from Ireland.

Whether it’s top-quality premium meats from Irish farms, dairy products, like artisanal cheeses, or fresh fruits and vegetables grown on Irish soil, customers can enjoy the best of what Ireland has to offer sourced to highest quality standards of M&S.

‘Championing Irish Suppliers’

Eddie Murphy, trading director, M&S Ireland, said, “At M&S, we have always believed in supporting and showcasing the very best of what Ireland has to offer, starting with our top-quality stem-picked strawberries and 100% traceable Irish beef. This initiative takes our commitment to a whole new level.

“We have partnered for many years with an exceptional network of farmers and producers, who share our passion for quality, sustainability and community.

“By championing Irish suppliers, we are not only bringing exceptional products to our customers’ tables, but also helping to nurture and strengthen the Irish food industry.”
