Musgrave Invests €700,000 In Sallynoggin Cash & Carry

Musgrave Wholesale Partners has invested €700,000 in a newly-refurbished Sallynoggin Musgrave MarketPlace cash & carry outlet in Dublin.

Officially opened yesterday, the refurbishment is part of an overall €11 million investment in the Musgrave Marketplace portfolio over five years. In addition, a further €5 million will be invested in the network over the next three years.

The newly refitted 42,000 square foot store now employs 40 staff, stocks 12,000 products and has an expanded food service range including a new chill freeze section carrying over 800 food products.

Commenting at the opening, Sallynoggin General Manager, Owen McFeely, said, “We are delighted to officially reopen our Sallynoggin branch with great new ranges and an extended chill/freeze offering for our customers. We have a long and proud tradition of supplying retail, foodservice and SME businesses in South County Dublin and along the east coast and are looking forward to building on this commitment in to the future.”

The outlet also boasts the exclusive ‘Butchers Select’ and ‘Simply Meat’ offering, an expanded fresh fruit & veg range, and a ‘Click and Collect’ service for customers, as well as direct delivery.

Paul Kerrigan, Director Musgrave MarketPlace ROI, said that the official opening of the newly refitted Musgrave MarketPlace Sallynoggin cash & carry is an important milestone for both the branch and Musgrave MarketPlace as a national brand. "We have worked with the local community, supporting local businesses in South Dublin and surrounding environs for over 20 years and are very proud of our improved and expanded offering."

The original cash & carry outlet has traded in Sallynoggin since 1972, previously as Lees Cash & Carry before being purchased by Musgrave in 1992 and adopting the name Musgrave MarketPlace.
