Posterscope Acquires OOH Specialists PML Group

Posterscope has announced its acquisition of Irish OOH media planning and buying specialist PML Group.

PML was established in 1982, making it the oldest OOH specialist operating in Ireland, where it employs 41 people across its Belfast and Dublin offices. It was partner to 12 out of the 14 winners of the 25th OMA Awards, and also won 2014 Sales Team of the Year at The Media Awards.

The Irish OOH market is estimated at €70 million in the Republic of Ireland, and $15 million in Northern Ireland, with predicted growth of 6% and 3% respectively in 2015.

James Cashen will keep his role as Managing Director, and will report to Annie Rickard, Global President at Posterscope.

Explaining that Posterscope has worked with PML for many years, and that the acquisition was a natural next step, Rickard said, “We believe that our investment in technology, data and insight will complement PML’s existing tools and will accelerate the growth of the OOH medium in Ireland.”

Cashen commented, “We share the same values and philosophy and have worked successfully with Annie Rickard and her team for many years.”

“We are excited to be part of the best OOH global network. This will provide us with more services and give us international scope in our evolving medium.”

Completion of the acquisition is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions.
