Ros na Rún Marks Silver Jubilee On TG4 With Renewed XL Ireland Sponsorship Package

XL Ireland, has announced that it has committed to another three year sponsorship of Irish TV drama Ros na Rún.

Ros na Rún will broadcast it’s milestone Silver Jubilee of season 25, today Tuesday, September 22 at 8.30pm on TG4.

Siopa XL, which was launched on the set of Ros na Rún in 2017, with a cameo appearance by the country singer Daniel O’Donnell, is at the centre of drama in every episode of the TG4 Irish language show, the community retail brand said.

The fictional store is operated by long standing Ros na Rún character Vince, who’s played by leading Galway City ActorPaul McCloskey.

“Our sponsorship programme with TG4 and Ros na Rún has proven to be an excellent partnership with all parties sharing many core values including that of serving the people of the Gaeltacht regions and rural Ireland. XL has gained much exposure from the brands central presence in the Siopa XL’s story lines in Ros na Rún, which has proven to be a winning formula for all of us,” said Paul Bealin Head of XL Ireland, “hence our continued sponsorship for the next 3 years, which we’re very excited about.”

Part of BWG Foods, XL Ireland has more than 250 stores nationwide.

Ros na Rún

According to Marion Ní Loingsigh, Series Producer of Ros na Rún: “Siopa XL is at the heart of our fictional Gaeltacht Village in Ros na Rún, and with this partnership comes an excellent set, a good brand and product which compliments our passion for enhancing Gaeltacht rural life and we know that we can grow this partnership even stronger over the next three years”.
