SuperValu Expects To Generate €8M For Hotels With 'Getaway Breaks'

SuperValu has said that it expects to generate approximately €8 million in revenue this year for hotels its Getaway Breaks, the Irish grocery retailer’s discounted hotel break brand.

'2019 marks the 20th anniversary of SuperValu Getaway Breaks inception, as participating hotels are able to reach an audience of over one million customers a month for free,' the grocery retailer outlined in a statement.

Hoteliers Response

A range of hoteliers have praised SuperValu Getaway Breaks for the boost to their business including Eithne Cosgrove, director of sales & marketing of Hotel Westport & Westport House

Cosgrove said: “Over the years, not only have we been able to sell distressed inventory for dates of our choosing, we have also been afforded every opportunity to put Hotel Westport & Westport House in front of the general public and also flexibility in the way we work together for the mutual benefit of our customers.”

Real Rewards Programme

The group outlined that average savings of 30% on hotel and holiday home breaks at Ireland’s leading destinations, including a range of four and five star hotels, SuperValu Getaway Breaks continues to form a key part of the grocery retailer’s Real Rewards loyalty programme.
