SuperValu Plans To Sell White 'Ghost' Pumpkins This Halloween

For the first time, SuperValu will sell white 'Ghost' pumpkins this Halloween.

The aptly named ‘Casper’ and ‘Snowball’ pumpkins are grown by Julian Hughes of Hughes Farm, Barronsknock in Co. Kilkenny.

Julian Hughes, Pumpkin grower commented, “We are pleased to partner with SuperValu again this year to bring our pumpkin harvest to customers all over the country."

Pumpkin Sales Forecast

SuperValu has announced that it expects to sell over 100,000 Irish pumpkins on the run up to the 31 October.

“Demand continues to grow for this Halloween staple," Martin Kelleher, managing director, SuperValu, said.

Available in SuperValu stores nationwide from this coming Friday, 11 October, this year’s pumpkins, both orange and white will retail from €2.
