Tesco Ireland Supports 33 New Suppliers Across Nine Galway Stores

Tesco has announced that more than 33 west of Ireland suppliers are now benefitting from product listings in its nine new stores in Galway.

Joe Manning, commercial director, Tesco Ireland, said, “Customers can expect to find a wide variety of quality fresh Irish food and drink as well as wonderful produce from 33 local suppliers, who will feature on the shelves across our Galway stores.

"We are very impressed by the quality of the produce that is grown and made here in Galway, and we are proud to support local producers.”

Local Suppliers 

Local suppliers Divilly’s Meats, Butler’s Bread, Galway Potatoes and West Ireland Art are among 29 Galway and west of Ireland suppliers who will feature on the shelves in Headford.

According to the retailer, following a dedicated supplier development programme in recent months, local suppliers have been supported to 'understand the Tesco business, gain insight into customer behaviour, and continue to ensure that Galway shoppers have access to the products they know and love'.

New Store 

Tesco Headford has officially opened for business and is the ninth Tesco store to launch across County Galway in recent months.

At more than 27,000 square foot the new store was officially opened by experienced store manager, Stephen Corrigan.

 “We’ve been working really hard to ensure that our new store exceeds the expectations of the community here in Headford. We can’t wait to welcome our customers back, and we really look forward to engaging with them in the months and years ahead," Corrigan added.

The supermarket also features the F&F clothing range which has a selection of adults and children’s seasonal clothing.
