 The Checkout Conference, in association with Rabobank is the longest-running dedicated conference for the grocery retail and FMCG industries in Ireland, and is considered a ‘must-attend’ event for top level executives in the trade, both due to the high calibre of speakers and its status as a premium networking opportunity.

The 2015 Checkout Conference, in association with Rabobank, takes place on Tuesday January 27th at the InterContinental Hotel, Dublin (formerly the Four Seasons Hotel).

The theme of the Conference is ‘The Time Is Now’, and the event will analyse where the challenges and opportunities are for retail grocery businesses, against an economic background that is showing signs of recovery. At the same time, with ‘value’ remaining key for consumers, how can retailers and branded suppliers best position themselves for growth in the coming year?

Speakers already confirmed for the event include Eamonn Quinn, Dragon's Den investor and retail entrepreneur, Leo Crawford, Group Chief Executive, BWG Group, Nick Lansley, Head Of Open Innovation, Tesco Labs, David Cotter, Country Manager, P&G Ireland, Mike Hemingway, an award-winning global branding expert, John David Roeg, Senior Analyst on Consumer Foods, Rabobank International, Robert Gregory, Global Research Director, Planet Retail and Mike Watkins, Head of Retailer and Business Insight, Nielsen.

In addition, a discussion panel, ‘What Next For Brands?’ will feature discussion on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of successful brand development, including logistics, packaging, shopper marketing, planning and the ‘last 50 yards’ problem.
