Ór-Real Irish Butter is made in Kanturk, Co. Cork, by North Cork Creameries, using the ‘traditional method of slow churning – the only addition is a touch of salt.’

Food Industry Awards

During 2022, Ór-Real Irish Butter swept the boards, picking up three separate food industry awards.

It was named a gold award-winner in the butter category at the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards and won gold in the same category at Blas na hÉireann.

Pat Sheahan, CEO of North Cork Creameries, said, “We launched Ór-Real Irish Butter in October 2021, using almost a century of experience in turning the best local milk into the highest-quality butter.

“It has proved to be a huge hit with customers, and we’re delighted to work with Tesco and see Ór-Real Irish Butter stocked in all of their stores nationwide.

“We thrive on tradition. Generations of farming families have been supplying milk for our butter, and we still use traditional methods, but to modern standards.

“The quality of Ór-Real Irish Butter is reflected in the number of awards we won last year, winning gold or two stars each time we entered.”
