Guinness Launches New Ad Campaign Celebrating Its Distinctive ‘Surge And Settle’
Ahead of the highly anticipated start of the re-opening of pubs and bars across Ireland for outdoor service in early June, Guinness has launched a new ad campaign created by AMV BBDO.
The 20” film, which launched yesterday, 18 May, opens with a series of beautiful liquid shots; demonstrating how the liquid comes alive in the process of being poured.
Alicia Cliffe and Laurens Grainger, creatives at AMV BBDO, said, "We wanted to make a fun film that reminds people how unique and tasty a pint of the black stuff is."
"The dancing hand punctuates the deliciousness of the liquid shots - showing us that even though the wait for a Guinness is long, it’s worth every second," they added.
That First Sip
The ad finale shows a hero drinker enjoying their awaited sip.
Alan McAleenan, Guinness trademark marketing director at Diageo, said, “We’re proud to share this new Guinness film which captures the anticipation and joy of that first sip of a creamy, cold pint of Guinness.
"Guinness is a liquid like no other and we feel that this ad demonstrates that perfectly with vibrancy and excitement that we can’t wait to experience in the pub again,” he added.
The campaign will run on national television, DOOH and social, along with Video on Demand, including YouTube, in-read across key online publishers and broadcast players including RTE player and 4OD.
