Guinness Storehouse Complete Quartet Of ISO Accreditations
Guinness Storehouse, Ireland’s top international visitor attraction, has completed a quartet of European ISO Management System Standards, having recently been awarded two additional industry standard achievements.
These most recent achievements; ISO 20121 and ISO 9001, were awarded in recognition of the Guinness Storehouse’s environmental processes and procedures. The achievements acknowledge the Storehouse’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental impact standards. It has also incorporated economic and green concepts into its supply chain in a bid to drive a sustainable future for the business.
Managing Director of Guinness Storehouse Paul Carty commented on the latest endorsement; “Thanks to the new standards, we will be able to measure, challenge and improve our performance, not just in relation to the environment, but also in relation to our social and economic impact. We have achieved these certifications, through the hard work, support and commitment of the entire team at the Guinness Storehouse and our business partners. As a result of this effort, we have been able to reduce the environmental impact of our business and have also reduced the number of incidents and accidents.”
Michael Brophy, CEO of Certification Europe added, “The Guinness Storehouse have demonstrated a real commitment to their CSR policy and governance and ethics standards having achieved an additional two ISO standards certifications. ISO 20121 will empower their staff to pursue business practices with greater sustainability, whilst their commitment to maintaining quality and continuous improvement will be supported by their ISO 9001 standard."
